Optimisation of New Generation Endo-coronary Fourier Domain Optical Coherence Tomography
A digital object identifier (DOI) can be used to cite and link to electronic documents. A DOI is guaranteed never to change, so you can use it to link permanently to electronic documents.
To find a document using a DOI
- Copy the DOI of the document you want to open.
The correct format for citing a DOI is as follows: doi:10.1016/S0140-6736(08)61345-8 - Open the following DOI site in your browser:
dx.doi.org - Enter the entire DOI citation in the text box provided, and then click Go.
The document that matches the DOI citation will display in your browser window.
The DOI scheme is administered by the International DOI Foundation. Many of the world's leading publishers have come together to build a DOI-based document linking scheme known as CrossRef.
ABSTRACT:
Background and aim: Fourier domain Optical Coherence Tomography is a new imaging modalitycharacterised by a high resolution (10 -15) μm. We aimed to optimise this technique by determining the optimal flushing solution, the optimal pull-back speed, and the optimal injection rate and volume regimen.
Materials and methods: Animal model: We performed FD-OCT on a swine model. We tested multiple flushing solutions at 2 injection rate and volume regimens.
Results: Half strength Iodixanol/ voluven solution yielded excellent image quality comparable to the full strength Iodixanol.
Conclusion: Half strength Iodixanol/ voluven solution seems to be an efficient alternative to full strength Iodixanol with an acquisition quality comparable and with half the usual dose of contrast agent.
